According to the type of skin and the severity of the condition, at the medical discretion, the cream of the ideal concentration will be prescribed (since RETIRIDES is presented at concentrations of 0.025%, 0.05% and 0. 1%) and the number of daily applications will be recommended. It is recommended to start the treatment with a low concentration cream and apply once a day. Subsequently, and according to the particular response of each patient, the concentration of cream and / or the number of applications can be increased. Contraindications The specialty should be discontinued if the patient is hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of the cream. Precautions Intolerance problems may occur, so it is recommended to start treatment on a small skin surface. Exposure to the sun or ultraviolet rays can cause extra irritation. During treatment with WITHDRAWALS avoid it as much as possible or use a sunscreen if necessary. In case of exceptional exposure (one day at sea, for example) if possible, do not apply the cream the day before, the day of exposure and the day after the exposure. Avoid contact of WITHDRAWALS with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes. If this happens, it is recommended to carefully wash with plenty of water. AD Incompatibilities If the patient had been treated with keratolytic preparations or exfoliants, it is recommended to wait for the end of the skin irritating phenomena, before starting treatment with any of the RETIRIDES presentations. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Therefore, it will only be administered if it is clearly necessary and always under medical supervision. It is also not known if the drug is excreted with breast milk, so precautions should be taken when REMOVED is administered to nursing mothers, Interactions should be used with caution because of the possible interaction of tretinoin with concomitant topical medication, abrasive soaps or medicinal, soaps and cosmetics with high drying effect and products with high alcohol content. Also, great care should be taken when administering preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid.
Side effects The efficacy of tretinoin-based products is almost always accompanied by the phenomena of skin irritation. In the case of acne treatments, this phenomenon is directly linked to the effectiveness of the product and disappears when the applications are spaced. In the first weeks of treatment, an apparent worsening of the condition can be observed. This reaction is normal since it involves the accelerated elimination of microcysts that were forming in the depth of the skin. Rules for the correct application of the preparation There is a possibility that the acne will get worse during the first two or three weeks of treatment. Despite this, the medication should not be stopped unless the irritation or other symptoms are severe. Frequent washing of the face should be avoided. It is enough to wash it two or three times a day using a neutral soap and trying to dry without rubbing. The cream will not be applied until half an hour after the face has been washed. The simultaneous application of other topical preparations for acne should be avoided, as well as the use of perfumes, cologne, lotions before and after shaving, and in general any perfumed or alcoholic product that could favor irritation. Exaggerated use of the preparation will only favor the appearance of unpleasant reactions and in no case will it improve the result of the treatment. Intoxication and its treatment The overdosing of the preparation is unlikely since it is not accompanied by better or faster results, with all likelihood achieving strong erythema, scaling and discomfort. In addition, LD 50 of tretinoin is very high and percutaneous absorption is very low (of the order of 5% of the administered dose). In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult the Toxocological Information service. Telephone (91) 562 04 20.
